I'd like to introduce: If These Trees Could Talk

A 5 piece Post-Rock band from Akron, Ohio.

Their first debut, a self titled EP released in 2006.

 

The soundscapes engineered by this band are intriguing, creative and unlike any other band. In this album, the guitarists act as the catalyst for the climaxes and recessions usually delivered by a vocalist. These movements convey beautiful waves of calm and chaos, enveloping conciseness in rhythm that maintains consistency that can only be derived from impetuous musicianship.

Sadly, I first found this band on iTunes. It was one of those, "I don't know if this is going to be good, but fuck it I'm buying it anyways..." type of finds. One of the best risks I have taken on iTunes. I've owned this album for about 3 or 4 years now and I can say I haven't been tired of it once. This type of music is really great for anything. Give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.
